Is 2014 the most dominant year in motorsport?

As the world championships of motoring come to a close, something crossed my mind: 2014 has seen dominance in every big, international racing series.

Kinja'd!!!

Formula 1? Mercedes is winning unless there's weather chaos, they crash into each other or they have mechanical failures.
World Endurance LMP1? Toyota has the pace and also only lost to rain messing up tactics and the usual Le Mans lottery.
WRC? VW won 12 out of 13 rallys, and didn't finish first in Germany because both Ogier and Latvala went full Meeke and crashed.
World Touring Car: total Citroen dominance, even topping the Chevy days.
Heck, even MotoGP was a one man "Marquez feat. Honda" show, and the new, exciting rallycross championship has seen Petter Solberg earn one win after another, taking him to a well-deserved championship.

Has there ever been a year with so much dominance going on? I can't think of one.
